As much as traditional mediums such as movies, music, and television, video gaming now permeates the very fabric of youth culture. For many, it is no longer a hobby – it is a way of life. What began as a casual diversion is now a global phenomenon.

Yet for the general public, the perception of the typical gamer remains largely unchanged since the days of Pong and Space Invaders. Juvenile. Antisocial. Isolated. The 14-year old kid that lives in his basement, spending his days alone, glued to a TV screen.

KODE5 masses gamers in 16 countries in a series of regional events to find the best gamers from around the world. Part festival, part tournament, KODE5 Regional Events aim to provide gamers an unforgettable gaming experience. Participants will enjoy a professionally-run gaming event that enables them to connect with and challenge other gamers from their respective regions. A gaming tournament will determine the best players from each region, and a wealth of prizes awaits the victors.

The best then fly to an undisclosed location to square off against the world’s gaming elite.
